OUR STORY

It started in a barn in 1854

The very first pair of Samson boots was made in a farm stable in rural Buckinghamshire in 1854. Mr. David Newton made the first pair from a long line of safety boots for agricultural purposes. The brand Samson was derived from the historical biblical warrior of strength.

What started as a single pair of boots for himself, soon turned into an emerging business.

Local Legend

Throughout the late 1800’s and early 1900’s the brand began its growth, as injuries to the foot were the most common in both agricultural and industrial settings. The idea of protective footwear was an emerging concept and demand for Samson products saw its initial growth.

Transitioning Industries

With the transition of industry in the UK from agriculture to Oil & Gas, the Samson range was among the first to introduce Rigger Boots to the market in the early 1960s. We designed boots using nitrile rubber soles to withstand high heats and better grip for slip resistance. Workers preferred the pull on and kick off design of our rigger boots, which are still among our most popular products today.

DURABILITY
Made using the best raw materials such as Kevlar and Nitrile rubber, our boots will stand any elements you throw at them.

PERFORMANCE
They may look traditional, but our boots use anti-fatigue technology and ergonomic sole construction for agility.
